Safety

Child Safety Is Always Our No. 1 Priority
We work every day to create a safe, inclusive and fun environment so kids can have every opportunity to be successful in life.
We have no tolerance for inappropriate behavior of any kind, including child sexual abuse or misconduct, and we put resources behind this commitment.
Culture of Safety
Rutherford Boys & Girls Club continually updates robust safety policies, programs, training and supervisory practices for our staff and volunteers that are designed to promote child safety and protect young people from threats that are present in our society.
We implement multiple layers of protection to keep our kids safe including:
These include:
• Annual staff training
• Mandatory reporting training
• CPR and First Aid training
• Social and emotional health training.

Children who attend Boys & Girls Club programs build strong foundations in learning, positive behavior, and healthy habits during their early years.

Clubs provide a safe, supportive environment for children during critical after-school hours, where caring adults help guide, encourage, and support them every day.

Clubs help children develop confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging, giving them a place where they feel included, supported, and able to grow.
